Responsibilities

Work with regional operations, business units, and other functional units to facilitate compliance with all US and International regulations through training, implementation, monitoring and support of all compliance related activities. Provide corporate visibility to operations and business unit compliance activities by providing regular relevant and detailed updates and assessments. Provide strategic recommendations to corporate regarding gap analysis, remedial action plan, policy review/implementation, internal control initiatives, etc. Manage the day to day operation of the Compliance Program in the region. Serve as the Compliance Department point of contact for all sites in the region. Collaborate with operations and all functional departments of the company (e.g., Environmental Health and Safety, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Trade and Customs, Tax/Finance, etc.) to ensure appropriate policies, trainings and internal controls are in place to support business and legal requirements. Obtain management buy-in with appropriate policies, trainings and internal control initiatives. Maintain knowledge of relevant laws, rules and regulations and use this knowledge when advising the company, including updating/revising appropriate trainings, policies/procedures as required. Design, develop and deliver training programs for risk and compliance areas, including Code of Ethics, Anti-Corruption, Conflict of Interest, Tendering, Security, etc. Collaborate with Internal Audit to evaluate regional compliance needs with risk assessments and audits; Assist Internal Audit with creation of audit plans. Develop appropriate trainings, policies/procedures pertaining to Internal Audit investigative/audit findings, etc. Collaborate with relevant operational/functional groups to ensure execution of necessary remedial actions. Collaborate with local/regional Human Resource personnel regarding policies, training requirements and implementation. Coordinate and follow up with Human Resources/Internal Audit regarding Ethics and Integrity Hotline and other investigation matters; together with Internal Audit, drive completion of necessary remedial actions with relevant functional/operational group. Monitor and assist in management of compliance matters regarding expansion activities (e.g., Mergers & Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, Greenfield projects, etc.) through focused due diligence review and analysis. Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately. Adhere to all Health and Safety rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor. • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy. General interaction with Senior Management on a day to day basis. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
